About Us
Meet Us
Our family is just like any other. Two mums, two boys and two cats. And of course we mustn’t forget our dear old four-wheeled Betsy! We owe a lot to this lady. Without her life would be rather plain.
We live in the seaside city of Brighton. Brighton has been coined the ‘Gay Capital of Britain’, so just as well we live here. The city is famous for its music and party scene. Tourists flock here every weekend with giant inflated penises and unhinged enthusiasms.
As a family we like to travel, meet people and talk about queer culture and politics.
In the summer you will find us at festivals around the country, where Lucinda performs with her band. Yes, the cats come too! We are truly in our element when we can walk barefeet, have outdoor showers and live in Betsy.
Wherever we go, despite having more similarities than differences we recognise that our family is unique and unusual.
We look at the world through our queer eyes, which are same as regular eyes except we have rainbow coloured retinas. I know! Cool right.
We evaluate the world through these special peepers, and report back what works and what needs improvement for us queer folk and their offsprings. I
If you are queer, if you are a queer family this blog is for you. We discuss relevant and practical topics. We raise questions and and try to find the answers.

Our history
Lucinda and I go waaaaay back. We met on the Brighton gay scene in the early 2000’s. We were very young, beautiful and life was FUN! Lucinda had her eye on me from a distance and I was oblivious. We fell in love much later when the conditions were just right, and we have been together ever since. In true lesbian fashion we talked about having babies from day one. We browsed photos of male models and imagined what our children would look like.
Our boys were born five years later. Lucinda became pregnant first and gave birth to PomPom in 2013. Musha arrived two and a half years later in 2016. I had the privilege of giving birth to him.
Soon we transformed from lively party lez to fatigued mother lez. The past decade has been an amazing roller coaster ride. Every day is a new adventure with our two lively boys!
